I don’t like you, but I love you.

As Christians, we are called to “love” all, but there may be some we simply don’t like or get along with. Remember, love is not always a “feeling”, but it’s also an “action”. Though we are called to “walk in the Spirit” , we are still imperfect beings who have faults, likes, dislikes and yes, there those you may not quite get along with and who may not like you either. Sometimes it’s just “personality”. differences. The key is our response. We are told to “love our enemies” and do good to those who despitefully use you” (Matthew 5:44). Our part is to obey the Word, but it does not mean we have to “like” everyone. Not liking someone does not mean we have to be nasty or rude toward them. We need to trust the Holy Spirit to supply us with grace to be kind even to those we don’t quite get along with or connect with.
